Adobe Flash Issue on Mac OS 10.7 Lion

If you can’t click “Allow” on Flash sites it may be due to the new Mac OS 10.7 Lion software. Adobe recently released a list of known issues interfacing with the new Mac OS 10.7 Lion release. One of the issues is the inability to click “Allow” in Flash, which is used for recording mailVU video mail. According to Adobe’s post found here:

“The Flash Player settings dialog does not respond to mouse clicks. If you find yourself in this state, you can use the “tab” key to change the focus to the “Close” button and use the spacebar to close the dialog. While not all settings are available, you can also use the Flash Player native control panel located in System Preferences.” Here are the step by step instructions for setting the Flash System Preference on your Mac:

You may also place your mouse over the recording window, and click the mouse while holding down the Ctrl key (on a PC it is right click). Select Settings and then click the Allow button. You may also want to click in the Remember box to prevent having to go through this process in the future.

It appears Adobe is going to release a fix soon as they seemed to have fixed it internally. This was found in beta release.https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=2918693

Once the Allow function is enabled you will be able to resume recording and sending your mailVU video email, and your customers can resume recording their video testimonials on your website video testimonial widget.
