I just got back from my first wedding of the season held this past weekend in Washington, D.C. Two of my husband’s friends and former co-workers tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony. Luckily, I had my Droid and was able to capture the happy new couple as they made their way down the aisle. Please excuse my shaky camera work!

The wedding was followed by an energetic reception – energetic is an understatement because I swear the dance floor was never empty. I got this bit of audience participation to a late, great Whitney Houston favorite:

Alongside the perfect wedding cake were gourmet cupcakes. Oh, the cupcakes! Lemon ones, red velvet ones, chocolate ones! Sorry, no video of those!
In previous posts I’ve talked about incorporating video messaging for weddings – using video to plan and to record wedding festivities. Video can be made part of the ceremony from start (dress shopping, checking out venues) to finish (video mail thank yous!) so it was especially cool to take my own advice and get a few candid moments to share.
Congratulations Heather and Tim! Thanks for letting us be part of your day : )
